NHH fines T-Mobile Ft 150 mln

The National Communications Authority (NHH) announced on Wednesday it fined wireless services company T-Mobile Hungary Ft 150 million for overcharging other telecommunication service providers for calls ending in its network. The fine is the largest ever levied on T-Mobile Magyarorszag, but still just a fraction of the additional revenue the NHH says the overcharging brought the company.
The NHH found in an audit in September that T-Mobile had charged other service providers Ft 28.6 per minute on average for calls ending in its network, Ft 1.43 more than the tariff recommended by the NHH. The higher charge generated Ft 900 million in extra revenue for T-Mobile Hungary between June and September, according to the NHH.
