Invitel, Microsoft sign strategic cloud partnership

Competition

Invitel and Microsoft announced today that they have signed a joint partnership agreement to help Inivitel develop its cloud services with Microsoft Cloud Platform technology.

As a result of the current partnership, Invitel is the only Microsoft SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) partner to possess the status of Cloud OS Network Silver Partnership.

“The partnership between Microsoft and Invitel is an important step towards hybrid cloud solutions. Invitel, using its own data to enter and the cloud capacity of Microsoft Azure, will be able to offer flexible and customized solutions in the Hungarian cloud service providers’ market”, Invitel CEO Imre Mártha (pictured left) said. “Although cloud services are spreading in Hungary, corporate users of such services are still careful with this technology, due to concerns of data security. The partnership between Microsoft and Inivitel is, therefore, an important milestone for the whole IT sector,” Mártha added.

“Invitel, by integrating its data center via the solution of the Microsoft Cloud Platform, has become Microsoft’s strategic partner and makes the company eligible to expand within the Microsoft cloud” Microsoft’s SME chief Zsolt Németh (pictured right) said.
