Hungary mobile internet subscriptions climb to 2.155m in December

The number of mobile internet subscriptions in Hungary rose to 2.155m in December, while the number of active mobile internet subscriptions - those who used the service at some time during the previous three months - climbed to 1.696m from 1.585m a month earlier, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Friday.

Mobile internet subscribers transferred 1,856,000 gigabytes of data in December, up from 1,715,000 in November.

In terms of subscriber numbers, T-Mobile’s market share rose to 48.66% from 47.64% in November. Telenor’s share fell to 27.53% from 28.40% and Vodafone’s share fell to 23.81% from 23.97%.

In terms of active subscriptions, T-Mobile’s share rose to 47.68% from 46.79%, Telenor’s share fell to 28.19% from 29.00% and Vodafone’s share declined to 24.13% from 24.21%.
