Hungary govt establishes office for tasks supporting creation of economic policy

Hungary’s government has issued a decree establishing an office to prepare analyses on which to base economic policy and carry out other tasks that support economic policy.

The National Economic Planning Office will operate as an independent budget institution overseen by the minister in charge of economic policy.

The decree charges the national economy minister to draw up the institution’s founding documents within 30 days.

The office will employ 100 people, according to the decree.
