The minister also confirmed the governmentʼs commitment to an agreement with the EBRD in which it promised to gradually reduce Hungaryʼs bank levy from next year. The government yesterday submitted a tax bill to Parliament, in which it concluded that the levy would be lowered by next year.

Priorities for Hungary in the EBRDʼs strategy include energy security, the strengthening of the financial sector and bringing the farm and food processing sectors to the forefront, the ministry said.
