GTS Datanet completes Ft 250 mln network expansion

GTS Datanet Kft, a provider of internet and internet telephony services, has completed a Ft 250 million development which increased the capacity of its backbone network from 3 Gigabits per second to 10 Gigabits per second, the company announced on Tuesday.
In addition to boosting capacity for data transmission within Hungary, international data transmission capacity also grew to about 5 Gb/s.
GTS Datanet has 24,000 subscribers. It aims to convince several thousand of these subscribers to use GTS Datanet's internet telephony services, to be introduced in September. The company expects to have 30,000 subscribers within a year after the introduction of the service.
