Forint weakens on interbank market
The forint weakened on Thursday morning's interbank market, trading at 273.27 against the euro shortly after 10 a.m., compared to a Wednesday-afternoon rate of 271.82.
Dealers say that the publication of weak German and euro-zone manufacturing-data has weighed on central and eastern European regional currencies such as the forint, the zloty and the Czech koruna.
The forint traded at 237.55 to the Swiss franc and 191.28 to the US dollar shortly after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, compared to Wednesday-afternoon rates of 233.66 and 188.30, respectively.
