Forint softens on interbank market

The forint was trading at 310.30 to the euro at 5:30pm on Thursdayʼs interbank forex market, down from 309.77 late on Wednesday. The forint slipped to 279.87 from 278.26 against the dollar. The forint weakened steadily against the dollar on Thursday as it failed to find a technical resistance point several times. The forint weakened to 281.43 from 280.14 against the Swiss franc. The forint showed slight gains until noon but then the franc started strengthening and continued to do so until early evening.
