Forint falls to year-low against euro

The forint traded at 291.45 to the euro late Monday, weakening from 288.77 on Friday to reach a new low for the year on escalating concerns about stability in the eurozone.

The forint traded at 241.66 to the Swiss franc late Monday, softening from 236.56 on Friday.

The forint slipped to 214.18 from 206.43 against the dollar.

On the secondary market for government securities, benchmark yields were up 17-21bp for terms over a year.
