The forint started the day little changed and firmed sharply for most of the session, except for some temporary weakening around noon. It reached 307.600 at a quarter to 5 before some correction started.
The forint traded at 244.51 to the dollar in the afternoon, strengthening from 247.50 late Friday.
It was quoted at 253.87 to the Swiss franc, also firming from 256.07 late Friday.
