According to Magyar Idők, the introduction of e-tills would be such an overwhelming measure for businesses in the villages that they would be put out of operation, as such the government has decided to exempt them from this practice.

An unnamed source at the National Economy Ministry told the paper that the exemption is expected to affect approximately 5,000-6,000 formally operating businesses, including approximately 3,000 registered bed and breakfasts.

Such businesses were originally required to use the tills from January, the paper added. The use of such tills is already required at many other Hungarian businesses.
