Competition Office fines Vodafone for unfair advertising
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) announced today that it fined the Hungarian subsidy of telecoms giant Vodafone HUF 125 mln for unfair advertising.
Vodafone’s advertisements last year claimed that its mobile data network was the best and the fastest in Hungary, but GVH said the "peculiarities of mobile internet (transfer technology, network load, environmental factors) do not allow legitimate, objective comparison of network speed".
