Competition office fines pharmas for misleading customers
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) has announced on Thursday it had fined pharma company Pannon Medisana Kft Ft 1.5 million for unfair manipulation of consumer choice.
It also imposed a Ft 300,000 fine on L'Orelle Bt. “In the competition supervision proceedings the Competition Council of the GVH concluded that Pannon Medisana Kft.'s advertisements were capable of misleading consumers because it attributed healing effects to its "Medinose" product, although it could not prove the truthfulness of this statement," the GVH said in a statement.
