Club Aliga sold for Ft 5.5 bln
The long-drawn-out sale of state-owned Lake Balaton resort Club Aliga has come to a close with a Ft 5.5 billion highest bid, CEO Sándor Zelles of the Treasury Asset Directorate (KVI) said.
The ownership of the 37-hectare resort attracted an offer of Ft 4.6 billion gross, while the asset management rights to another 10.5-hectare property including the Balatonvilágos marina for a term of 49 years are worth Ft 900 million for the prospective investor, whose identity has not yet been officially revealed.
The latter was identified by business and finance website Portfolio.hu as a certain Promote Hungaria, a supposedly Israeli-owned company. However, no business is registered under this name in Hungarian company records, according to business daily Napi Gazdaság. (Napi Gazdaság) P.P.
