Bonafarm eyes farms in Zambia - paper
Hungarian agribusiness Bonafarm is one of two parties shortlisted in a bid for three big farms in Zambia, business weekly Figyelő said on Wednesday in a teaser for a story to be published in its issue out Thursday.
Bonafarm, owned by food industry magnate Sándor Csányi, is bidding against Zambia's Sable Transport Limited in the privatization.
The two companies are vying for some 10,000 hectares of farmland.
Bonafarm told Figyelő it is in talks with the Zambian Development Agency, but declined to reveal any further details because of business confidentiality.
