SportsDirect opens in Campona Shopping Center

Retail

British international sporting goods chain Sportsdirect.com opened its new store in Hungary on July 11 – the eighth in the country – in a 1,600 sqm space in Campona Shopping Center, a press release said yesterday.

In 2014 the Campona Shopping Center, managed by CBRE, welcomed nine new tenants and saw an additional seven new tenants join in the last few months, the press release added.

"We are delighted that with the newly opened shops we can provide an even greater selection of stores and services to our visitors, who can now choose from nearly 150 shops... The opening of the SportsDirect.com store is a new milestone in the life of Campona, which aims to strengthen the family-oriented shopping experience," said Zsolt Kákosy, Head of Asset Services at CBRE, in connection with the new tenants.

"We are delighted to open our new store at Campona Shopping Center. The company is continuously expanding in Europe, especially in Hungary. Although we are constantly growing throughout Europe, our goals remained unchanged: in the future we will continue to offer the largest brands at the best prices for our customers in all areas of sportswear, shoes and sports equipment," a SportsDirect spokesperson said.

Sportsdirect.com, founded in 1982, is the UKʼs largest sporting goods retail network, which has more than 150 stores across the Euro-Zone. It carries products from leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Lonsdale, Puma and Dunlop.
