Schmidt&Bender Hungária Optikai to build HUF 350 mln rifle scope plant

German-owned Schmidt&Bender Hungária Optikai will start building a HUF 350 million rifle scope plant in Tenk (115 km east of Budapest) in days, sales manager Ádám Kocsis told Hungarian news agency MTI.

The plant is expected to be completed by next spring, the sales manager said. It will employ 30-35 people and turn out 8,000-10,000 scopes a year.

Schmidt&Bender Hungária Optikai employs about 70 people at present. 

The company targets a 30% revenue rise this year over last yearʼs near EUR 6 mln.
