Report: Hungarian commerce employees worked more in May
Workers in the retail and wholesale sector registered 388,000 hours of overtime in May, approximately 70,000 more than in the same month last year, Hungarian daily Népszabadság reported today, based on data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
According to the paper, the increase is due to extended opening hours during the week that retailers have been applying since March 15, when the Sunday closures legislation took effect restricting retailers from opening on Sundays.
