KVI calls recommendations for gov’t quarter site

The Treasury Asset Management (KVI) is calling for recommendations regarding the future site for the new governmental quarter, unnamed sources reported. As part of the process, municipalities and investors will get a chance to recommend sites for the government. As opposed to the previously announced 200,000 square meter, only about 160,000 square meter office space will be needed for around 5,500 people working for the public administration. Amongst the possible investors, the CEE region’s leading real estate developer TriGránit Zrt is expected to bid with its Millennium City Center and its construction site north of Westend City Center, while real estate developer Futureal Kft will propose its Corvin sétány development project in Dist. 8 of Budapest.
