Resale Home Price Values Outside Budapest Fall

Home prices fell outside of the capital in the fourth quarter compared to Q3, real estate broker Otthon Centrum said yesterday, according to piacesprofit.hu.
Prices for detached homes fell 10%, on average, during the period. Apartment prices, excluding those in pre-fabricated "panel" housing estates built during the socialist era, dropped 8%.
Flats were dearest in Győr (125 km northwest of Budapest), priced at HUF 784,000/sqm, followed by Debrecen (225 km east), where they were HUF 777,000/sqm.
In Kecskemét (95 km southeast of Budapest), flat prices averaged HUF 634,000/sqm.
Detached home prices were highest in Érd (20 km southeast of Budapest) at HUF 650,000/sqm.
