Real Estate Prices Stagnate in October

Residential

The average square meter price of apartments in Budapest was HUF 959,000 in mid-October, and that of houses was HUF 794,000 on the second-hand real estate market, according to profitline.hu.

Prices have increased 19-20% year-on-year but have stagnated compared to the beginning of September.

The stagnation is also due to the opening of the supply and demand gap in recent months, in which the supply is increasing while the interest in properties for sale is decreasing.

The coming months will reveal whether the stagnation will turn into a decrease in housing prices.
