One-fifth of Hungarians plan home purchases in 2021

One-fifth of Hungarians between the ages of 18 and 59 plan to purchase a home this year, state news wire MTI reports, citing the results of a survey by real estate broker Duna House and Reacty Digital.

A little more than one-fifth of those Hungarians plan to take out bank credit or avail of prenatal baby loans to buy their homes.

The survey shows 13% of Hungarians have plans to sell homes, while 8pc want to both sell their home and purchase another.

The representative survey of 1,000 people shows 63% of Hungarians in the age group own their own homes.
