Hungary Home Sales Fall 14% in August
Home sales in Hungary fell 14% year-on-year to 9,748 in August but were up 9% compared to July, listed real estate broker Duna House said in a monthly estimate published on Thursday.
Duna House said with the summer vacation period over, sales numbers should pick up in the fall.
Home sales in January-August were at nearly 93,200, down 11.5% from the same period of 2021.
Duna House estimated lenders signed contracts for HUF 90 bln of home mortgage loans in August, edging down from HUF 92 bln in July.
