Homes sales down 12% last year

Home sales in Hungary came to 10,354 in December, up 2% from the same month a year earlier but falling 9% from November, real estate broker Duna House said yesterday, according to telex.hu.

In the full year 2020, home sales in Hungary amounted to 131,460, down 12% from 2019, it added. In March, April and May 2020, the turnover of the real estate market was almost 40% lower than in the previous year, with the lowest point being reported in April. Duna House estimates 2021's home sales will come to between 130,000 and 150,000.
