Home sales in Hungary fell 7% year-on-year to 11,807 in September, as more Hungarians than usual went on vacation, listed real estate broker Duna House said in a monthly report released this week, according to business daily Világgazdaság.

September home sales were down by 11.5% from the same month in 2019. Home sales in January-September increased 20% year-on-year to 117,004, up 1.3% from the same period of 2019, Duna House said.

If the housing market is active in the fall, then home sales could be around 150,000 in 2021, around 15% higher than in 2020, Duna House predicted.
