Home Rental Rates in Hungary Rise 23% in August

Home rental rates in Hungary rose 23.4% year-on-year in August, data compiled by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show.

Rental rates in the capital increased 24.8%.

In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates rose 1.5% nationwide and 1.3% in Budapest.

The monthly rental rate for an apartment in the capital averaged HUF 183,000 in the first half of the year. In the west of the country, an apartment could be rented for HUF 136,000 per month.
