Home Rental Rates in Hungary Rise 20% y.o.y. in January

Home rental rates in Hungary rose 19.9% year-on-year in January, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show.

Rental rates in the capital increased by 21.6%.

In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates increased 1.7% nationwide - recovering after a rare slip in the previous month - and were up 2.1% in Budapest.

The monthly rental rate for a flat in the capital averaged HUF 207,000 in H2 2022, the data show. In the west of the country, a flat could be rented for HUF 147,000 per month.
