Around 18% of Hungarian homes could undergo renovation in the coming year, a representative survey of homeowners by economic research institute GKI and building materials company Masterplast shows.

The survey, conducted quarterly, suggests around 720,000 homes could be renovated in the next twelve months, 100,000 fewer than in the same period a year earlier and 80,000 fewer than in the previous quarter.

Around 3.5% of respondents said they were "certain" to renovate and 14.5% said they would "probably" renovate in the next year.
