About 58,000 Hungarians have firm plans to purchase or build a home in the coming year, a representative survey by economic research company GKI and building materials maker Masterplast shows.
The survey, conducted in June, shows another 187,000 households will "probably" buy or build a home in the next twelve months.
Home sales in Hungary were a little over 82,700 in January-June, according to an estimate by real estate broker Duna House.
