1st-time Buyers Account for Over Quarter of Home Sales

First-time home buyers made up more than one-quarter of transactions in April, state news wire MTI writes, citing a report by listed real estate broker Duna House released on Monday.

First-time home buyers accounted for 28% of transactions in the capital and over one-fourth in the rest of the country.

First-time buyers paid HUF 47.2 million for their homes in the capital and HUF 30.8 mln elsewhere, on average, during the month.

Home purchases for investment accounted for 32% of transactions in the capital. Those buyers paid HUF 62.5 mln on average.
