Hungarian Arcadom to build new Pannon HQ
Hungarian-owned Arcadom construction company will, as the main-contractor, build the new headquarters of local mobile carrier Pannon in Törökbálint, in co-operation with Scandinavian-owned Narva Építõ Kft, a member of the Narva Group.
The building contract was signed by Pannon CEO, Ove Fredheim, and Arcadom Építőipari Zrt’s CEO, István Sokorai, on 25 June. The new headquarters, constructed in a green-field investment, in the Égett-valley (Égett-völgy - north from Budapest, in Törökbálint) is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
Construction started in May this year. The Pannon building will be put up only on 7.55% of the 8-hectare (19.77-acre) plot instead of the permitted 30%, and the company leaves 69% of the Égett-Valley as a green area, instead of the mandatory 40%. “The headquarters building will apply innovative solutions, and will be one of the most modern buildings in Hungary,” Pannon said in a statement.
