Futureal launches Budapest tower project

Office Market

Real estate developer Futureal has launched a new office investment in Budapest with the Austrian Akron Group, the company said in a press release.

The ambition of the investors with the Office Park of Őrmező is to reshape the silhouette of South Buda by developing a compelling office park in the largest multimodal node of Hungary, Futureal said.

“We are looking to developing such a business park at the western gate of Budapest whose planned high buildings can be easily identified even from larger distances. We would like to see our plans put forward for discussion, debate, including the materials in connection with a 150-meter high building that we have designed with the involvement of the winning architect of the city development competition and an English designer. This compelling, multi-tower building will potentially serve as headquarters for any large company since coming from the west the buildings will have the first impression about Budapest. We think the capital definitely needs such dominant buildings,” said Gábor Futó, Chief Executive of Futureal Group.

The construction of the new office park will be commenced in the spring next year, and it will be built in several phases. The opening of the first phase is foreseen to take place in the autumn of 2010.

Within the framework of the property development to be implemented, an office park of 4–6 tower buildings with sharply drawn features will be constructed in several phases. In each phase, approximately 15,000–35,000 square meters will be completed, which altogether means nearly 100,000 square meters of rentable office space on the aggregate. The offices are planned to be added with underground parking places for 1,000–1,500 cars.  At the present, the property development is in the phase of concept planning. (press release)
