Budapest Stock Exchange to move to Andrássy út

Office Market

The Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) will move to the Herczog Palace in the capital's historic Andrássy út in March 2007, officials from the bourse and property company A1 Group announced on Monday.

The BÉT has signed a long-term lease for the building. It will move in on March 15, following a renovation of the building's interior. The deal was brokered by CB Richard Ellis and GVA Hungary Kft.
The BÉT's headquarters in Vörösmarty tér was recently bought by Orco Property Group, which plans to turn the building into a luxury shopping centre. Rent at the two buildings is about the same, bourse officials said.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
