Jysk will start supplying shops in the region from a EUR 200 million warehouse it recently completed on the outskirts of Budapest, the Danish home furnishings retailer said on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The warehouse in Ecser will start supplying Jysk shops in Croatia from July and shops in Slovenia and Slovakia later on.

Around 300 people work at the 143,000sqm warehouse, but that number could rise as high as 500 as turnover picks up.

Jysk's Hungarian unit had revenue of HUF 57.4 billion in its business year ended August 31, public records show.

The company has 91 stores in Hungary.
