Foxpost now operates 560 parcel lockers across the country and plans to raise that number to 850 by year-end, CEO Ádám Bengyel said on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Last year, some 3.2 million packages were delivered via Foxpost parcel lockers, and this year the aim is to double that number, Bengyel said.

He noted that there are 1,500-1,600 parcel lockers in Hungary at present, and that number could approach 2,300 by the end of the year, citing data compiled by e-commerce research company GKID.

He said Foxpost has plans to expand abroad and will soon launch a solution that allows packages to be sent to markets in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania.

Foxpost had net revenue of HUF 2.4 billion last year, public records show.
