Slovakia construction output rebounds in May

Slovakia's construction output expanded by 2.5% year-on-year in May, reversing a 2.7% decline in the previous month, figures from the Bratislava-based Slovak Statistical Office (SÚSR) showed on Tuesday.
Domestic construction rebounded sharply (6% vs -2.9% in April), led by new construction, reconstruction and modernization (8.8% vs -2.8%); construction of buildings (4.7% vs 1.1%); and engineering construction (8.8% vs -11%).
In contrast, production abroad declined at a faster pace (-23.8% vs -1.1%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output went up by 0.4%.
