Around 22% of Hungarian homes could undergo renovation in the coming year, state news wire MTI reports, citing a representative survey of homeowners by economic research company GKI and building materials company Masterplast.
The survey, conducted quarterly, suggests some 833,000 homes could be renovated in the next twelve months, 61,000 more than in the previous quarter and 245,000 more than in the same period a year earlier.
Around 5.9% of respondents said they were "certain" to renovate and 16.7% said they would "probably" renovate in the next year.
