July industrial output up 12.2% yr/yr

Hungary's industrial output rose 1.1% in July from June according to seasonally- and working day-adjusted figures and was up 12.2% in the twelve months from July 2005 according to working-day adjusted and unadjusted preliminary figures, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) published on Thursday. Output rose by 10.5% yr/yr in the first seven months of 2006. In June, industrial output rose an unadjusted 8.8% yr/yr and a working-day adjusted 11.5% yr/yr in volume terms in June, the KSH reported on August 16. June output was up 1.8% from May according to seasonally- and working day-adjusted figures. Output rose by 10.0% yr/yr in the H1 of 2006, unadjusted figures show. Hungary's industrial output rose 7.3% in last year and was up 7.4% in 2004. KSH will publish revised and detailed figures for June industrial output on September 15. (Mti-Eco)
