Construction Output Volume up 3% y.o.y. in July

The volume of construction output in July 2022 surpassed the previous year’s level by 3%, according to raw data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Out of the main groups of construction, the output at the construction of buildings increased by 0.5%, and that of civil engineering grew by 7%, compared to the same month of 2021.
The volume of new contracts concluded was below the July 2021 base by 16.6%, within it the volume of new contracts for the construction of buildings was 20.3% lower, and the volume regarding civil engineering lessened by 13%.
The volume of the end-of-July stock of contracts at construction enterprises was 0.3% above the end-of-July 2021 level. The volume of contracts was down by 14.7% for the construction of buildings and up by 12.2% for civil engineering, year-on-year.
In the first seven months of 2022, the construction output rose by 6.3%.
