Construction Materials Prices Stagnate Except Cement

Construction

Except for cement and cement-based construction materials, the price of the most essential products will only stagnate or rise slightly this year, according to manufacturers' expectations, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

In the last two years, the price of building materials has increased by an average of 50%.

The price increase, which exceeded EU levels, was also fueled by a strong dependence on imports.

Among metal and plastic-based construction materials, the National Association of Construction Contractors does not expect a significant price increase this year, at most a minor price correction.
