Plastics recycler undertakes expansion

Plastic recycling company Alumechanik is expanding its base in Tatabánya with a HUF 70m investment, managing director Péter Kovács told MTI on Wednesday. The investment will raise processing capacity of the company to a monthly 400-600 tons, Kovács said. The company won a HUF 35 million European Union grant for the project, he added. Alumechanik is also spending almost HUF 40m to set up another base in Karacsond. Last year, Alumechanik had revenue of HUF 570 million. It expects about the same in 2013. The company employs 410 people.
