V4 Premiers and Slovenian PM continue with meeting

The second day of an informal meeting of the prime ministers of the Visegrád Four (V4) countries and Slovenia began in Ostrava in the Czech Republic on Monday.
The meeting was called to round off the Czech Republic’s year-long presidency of this regional organization. The prime ministers of Slovakia (Robert Fico), the Czech Republic (Mirek Topolanek), Hungary (Ferenc Gyurcsány) and Poland (Donald Tusk) - are primarily due to discuss the extension of the Schengen zone and the future of Kosovo and the Western Balkans, with emphasis on the provision of further support for this region in its integration efforts. The four premiers, who have been joined by Slovenian Premier Janez Jansa as a guest, are also due to discuss current issues relating to the European Union, and especially the priorities of the Slovenian EU presidency in the H1 of 2008 and preparations for the Czech EU presidency in 2009.
