MNB likely to cut rates for seventh month in row on Tuesday

National Bank of Hungary rate-setters are likely to continue an easing cycle at a meeting on Tuesday, cuting the central bank's key rate, for the seventh month in a row, by another 25bp to 5.25% according to a poll of analysts by Reuters. Reuters said 16 of the analysts projected a 25bp cut at the meeting on Tuesday. Four said the MNB's Monetary Council would leave the rate on hold. The poll was conducted on February 18-20.
