Ministry hears unions' proposals for Labor Code
Hungary's National Economy Ministry said it would consider trade unions' proposals for the new Labor Code after talks on Friday.
The ministry said it was certain the defense of workers' personal rights would not be weakened and the number of vacation days would not be reduced.
Peter Pataky, head of the National Association of Hungarian Trade Unions (MSZOSZ), told MTI after the talks that the unions expressed their uniform wish for a political debate on the necessity of changes to the Labor Code.
Istvan Gasko of the LIGA Trade Unions said the unions would like to see trilateral talks on the matter, with the involvement of employers.
