Fellegi, Rehn to meet on Jan 20

Minister without portfolio Tamas Fellegi will meet with Vice President of the European Commission Olli Rehn on January 20, a spokesman for Mr Rehn said on Tuesday.
Amadeu Altafaj Tardio said that although the meeting was in Mr Rehn's agenda for the 20th, this did not prevent any further contact on the phone or through other channels.
"Our officials are also in contact with their counterparts in the Hungarian finance ministry," he added.
Hungary is seeking financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund and the European Union as a precautionary measure that would allow the country to continue to finance its debt on the market.
Mr Fellegi, who is leading the talks on the financial assistance, met with IMF representatives in Washington on Monday.
