HR

The government will continue to raise the wages of healthcare workers, State Secretary for Health Péter Takács announced on Friday, according to hrportal.hu.

Doctors will receive increased wages at the beginning of February, and family medicine providers will also receive the same raise.

Takács recalled that since 2010, the government had increased the salary of doctors in several stages so that specialists receive several times more as a basic salary than before the change of government in 2010.

With the current 11% salary increase, the salary of a beginner doctor has increased to HUF 687,000, the salary of a middle-aged doctor with 20 years of experience has grown to HUF 1.65 million, and an older doctor who has been in the field for 40 years will receive HUF 2.38 mln as a basic salary, he explained.
