Currently, there is almost full employment in Hungary, with an unemployment rate of only 3.5%, which means that 4.7 million people are currently in the labor market in Hungary, according to hrportal.hu.

However, about 2.1 million people are looking for a job in Hungary, including active jobseekers and those who would be willing to change jobs from their current employment with a good offer.

At the beginning of the pandemic, workers' commitment to their employer was remarkably high, while it has now dropped drastically.

However, labor shortages have jumped to unprecedented levels in some sectors. Manufacturing companies need more foreign labor to fulfill customer orders.
