Number of sole proprietorships rises to 608,000

The number of sole proprietors has already increased to more than 608,000, according to hrportal.hu.
Due to favorable taxation, simple rules and flexibility, sole proprietorships are becoming more popular, with more than 90% of entrepreneurs opting for this form of business designation, the State Secretary for Taxation Finance Norbert Izer said on Friday.
Izer noted that the tax office currently registers 460,000 KATA taxpayers, of which 426,000 are sole proprietors.
A sole proprietorship is one of the ideal forms of entrepreneurship, as starting a business is quick, easy, and free, and it can be done online from the comfort of your home, Izer pointed out.
