Number of Hungarians working in Austria rises again

The number of Hungarians working in Austria has risen again, privátbankár.hu writes, referring to data from an Austrian social security organization.

In December 2021, 103,323 Hungarian employees worked in our western neighbor, while in the last month of 2020, during the second wave of the epidemic, there were only 83,932.

These figures had previously been at 98,412 in 2019 and 94,458 in 2018.

Meanwhile, the number of Hungarians working in Austria increased by 2,553 from November 2021.
