MediaMarkt Implementing HUF 2 bln Wage Raise in Stages

To retain its employees, MediaMarkt responded to the economic situation that has developed since the coronavirus pandemic with the most significant wage increase in its 25-year history in Hungary, according to profitline.hu.
In addition to the HUF 2 billion wage improvement implemented in several stages, the company started general employer branding and external and internal strategic renewal.
The retailer says this is not just a facelift but a deeper change that unfolded based on the economic and labor market experiences of the last couple of years and last year's energy crisis and inflationary situation.
Many structural transformations have taken place in the organization as a result, it said.
